A Financial Officer/Accountant manages an organization’s financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and tax compliance. They prepare monthly/annual financial reports, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies to maintain accurate financial records and liquidity
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Transactions: Managing all accounting transactions, including bank deposits, payments, and petty cash
- Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Compliance & Audit: Computing taxes, preparing tax returns, and assisting with internal/external audits
- Budgeting & Analysis: Assisting with budget preparation, forecasting, and expense tracking againstbudgets.
Records Management: Reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable/receivable, and maintaining accurate financial data
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as an accountant or finance officer.
- Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, numerical proficiency, and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations
